This was awarded for my contribution towards achieving a crucial project billing milestone, despite being new to Aerospace industry.
To quote the project manager (abridged to protect company IP),
"Whilst being new to the business and lacking in exposure to the vagaries of the Space business you have been undaunted by the significant challenges facing you; as you have risen to face these your workload (sic) has increased commensurately. In an incredibly short time you have become a valued and trusted team member and are performing at a level in excess of what could have been reasonably expected."
During last 7 years, I've been invited and granted support every year for IEEE SENSORS Conference in support of the Conference Online project that we I've been a part since 2012.
And not only IEEE SENSORS, I've been awarded support for IEEE IUS 2015, IEEE WF-IoT 2015 as well.
This award was for appreciation of my work for Conference Online project under the aegis of IEEE Sensors Council. We achieved huge success in our pilot run and the testament to our success is its continuation in successive 7th year and being adopted by several IEEE societies.
The project has been applauded by many, just to quote a few,
"Besides anything else, it's a live history of our science... 30-50 years from now listening to some of this stuff may be a huge thing..."

This award was in recognition of my work in establishing SIG-E for Embedded Electronics in my University. The aim of the SIG was to popularize Embedded Electronics among pre-university and freshmen students to encourage them to pursue careers in this field. The group was a huge success and regularly received invitations to conducted workshops and seminars in other Universities. This group also helped spawn a tech Start-up.
